So it’s been a while since I went to New York but I just had to share these New York longboard shops with ya guys. Uncle Funkys & Longboard Loft were the shops we had written down to go to since we aren’t quite neighbours and the United States is much cheaper than the Netherlands.
Uncle Funky’s is a little shop which isn’t easy to find. It’s – according to their own website “New York City’s oldest, independent longboard shop” situated in the lovely neighbourhood of Greenwich. This longboardshop has a selection of new and old-school longboards, trucks, wheels, used longboards and vintage skateboards from the 1960s to the 1990s. Just take the stairs down to the cellar and be welcomed by – in our case – helpful lady. I especially love their vintage finds!

Longboard Loft NYC is a bigger store in the Lower East Side of New York City. The store was filled with skaters, just hanging in the shop. This longboard shops has a lot of brands like Arbor skateboards, Bustin Boards, Penny skateboards, Rayne longboards and many more. They also have a collection of clothing. Drop by to try a board you like. My boyfriend took a Bustin deck home which is now a regulary used deck by me ;-)
