This is such a trip on the bucket list: road tripping by France with the boards. Yes: I never once went on vacation (camping in France). The first two days in France are now a fact! In two stages of 700 km a day away by car we arrived in Bordeaux. This is our stop. Sand dunes in Dune di Pilat here we come!
Stop 1 is Penly on the West coast of France, between Belgium and Paris. Our place to Longboarding and camping. With a cozy, quiet camping in the hills of Penly.
Penly has a paved road which nicely wound down, known as skate spot. My friend wants to look as like to down skating. DIS we make especially for him. And I? I’m with the crafting of my new Longboard or picnic a la Evey style (music, redbull and for connoisseurs: the Flow weekly’s) in the parking lot at the bottom of this skate spot you can with your car and you have a mighty fine views of the sea. A beautiful spot.
A campsite at Penly is fairly quiet and small-scale. In addition to our State an alternative designed to turn a bunch of so-called sleeper bus that their van with a children’s cabin that they on top of the roof. After our world tour we buy one we decide.
The day after, day 2, we address our tent early again in to head us wimdu apartment in Bordeaux. Bordeaux looks a bit nicer, but then Paris with friendlier people and a long Boulevard a la Cologne full of beyond raging skaters, cyclists, inline skaters and walkers, against the beautiful old buildings. The more beautiful sister of Paris.
In the apartment, the fridge full of desserts, jam, orange juice and bread and apples are on the table. And the apartment is very neat. Wimdu’s better than I am used to. A kind of B&B is it this time.
Today we have what, they walked. Bordeaux has an awful lot of skate shops, a Mecca for me and my friend. You have there a Vans Store, the Roxy and Quicksilver store, the Volcom store, the Sephora (where I also have embarked on the necessary) and lots of cute little shops. Meanwhile I have a dress with ironic (as seen
My shark phobia) sharks print scored. Then we closed the evening with Longboarding along the boulevard (what else!) and we took Japanese wok off to that along the water to eat it. Secretly I find Longboarding in a big city a little scary. You never know what you can expect and how to style it is asphalt.
But hey if you want, you just gotta!
The boulevard of Bordeaux is a bit like Barcelona meets Cologne and Paris, but-eh-Tanner. You can deep into the evening along the water boarding, cycling or walking. Moment on the lighted skate park, enjoy a drink, street artists spotting or disappear in the mist of the fountains. Bordeaux, I’m going to miss you!
Guess where our next stop is?
